Jason serves on the National Executive Board of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA), where he has represented the IAM since 2018, and as President of the Board of Directors for the Machinists Institute, the nonprofit organization dedicated to education, training, and workforce development for IAM members, their families, and the communities they serve. In 2023, he received APALA's Art Takei Leadership Award in recognition of his contributions to advancing Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander workers within the labor movement.
As President and Directing Business Representative, Jason continues working to strengthen IAM District 751 by growing the labor movement and creating opportunities for working families through the power of collective action. He believes the greatest legacy a Union can leave isn't only what it achieves, but what it passes on to the members and leaders who follow.
