Registered Apprenticeship Programs
Learning without missing paychecks, business growth without slowing production.
Registered Apprenticeship is for workers ready to progress their careers. Apprentices get paid to complete on-the-job training while taking supplemental instruction, so that workers can advance without sacrificing pay and businesses can expand their capabilities without stalling production.
How it Works
Each program is structured in accordance to Washington State Apprenticeship & Training Council approved apprenticeship standards. This means that our programs meet the needs of employers in Washington’s high-demand industries, guaranteeing that each program is designed to prepare skilled workers for living-wage jobs.
On-The-Job Training (OJT)
Apprentices receive 2,000 hours per year of on-the-job instruction and work experience needed to become journey-level workers versed in theory and practice per apprenticeship standards.
classroom and lab training
In addition to on-the-job training, each apprentice receives a minimum of 144 hours of related supplemental instruction (RSI) per year, expanding their theoretical and practical knowledge of their occupation. This training may in a classroom, a lab, or on the job site depending on each employers’ needs.
