Our 10 week Pre-Apprenticeship program (MICA) now offered in a Summer course for and taught by women. Step into extensive hands-on training and knowledge building for a future in high demand industrial trades.
Enrollment Deadline: Fri June 30th
Tues— Thurs, 9am - 3pm, approx. 150hrs
Start: Tues 7/18 End: Thurs 9/14
Cost: Free
In this course, students will cover safety, introductions to both manual and CNC machining, metrology and inspection, lean manufacturing and shop math. Upon completing this course, students will receive a certificate of completion of the Machinists Institute Career Accelerator (MICA).
Please note this program is for students 18 years or older.
Course Info
All students must wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Students who do not come to class dressed appropriately will not be allowed to participate in shop training.
