Diana Noinala

President of IAM751 Local F
Board of Directors, Machinists Institute

I’ve worn many different hats from working as a waitress, a construction assistant, automotive mechanic assistant, several positions at Target, a manager/stylist in bridal and a UPS load/sort/picker, all leading up to The Boeing Company. I work as a material management specialist in Plant 2 in the 2-10 building in Seattle. Right across the Duwamish river from my childhood neighborhood, south park. I am a certified forklift stacker evaluator and a union steward for my area. I also serve my union as the youngest and first Thai and Lao President of local lodge F. I have grown up with this union and believe in everything the union stands for, unity, empowerment, opportunity and fairness for all. I am a young generational who has worked at Boeing for 5 years. I am the first generation of my family to be born American, having two parents who immigrated from Laos and Thailand. I feel it is my duty to represent on the Machinist institute Board as a young minority to help promote and foster inclusivity and prosperity through apprenticeship. I have always been an advocate for alternative education and promoting worker development. Programs like these help develop and give back to their communities by giving access to the key and relevant resources and networks needed. Ensuring each generation after generation becomes stronger and is staying current with the demands of the world. When I am not working I enjoy nature, working out and practicing skating. Arts and crafts or video games are also things I will indulge in if I'm not teaching myself something new or cooking and eating food.
