As an apprentice, you’ll enjoy a living wage income, career advancement, and specialized training opportunities to grow into your new career.

Registered Apprenticeship is for employed workers ready to take the next step in their careers in a growing industry. You'll get paid to complete on-the-job training while taking supplemental instruction, which means you'll earn a paycheck while furthering your skills.

Each program is structured in accordance to Washington State Apprenticeship & Training Council approved apprenticeship standards. This means that our programs meet the needs of employers in Washington’s high-demand industries, guaranteeing that each program is designed to prepare skilled workers for living-wage jobs.

On-the-job Training (OJT) Work Processes

Apprentices receive 2,000 hours per year of on-the-job instruction and work experience as necessary to become a qualified journey-level worker versed in theory and practice for their occupation per apprenticeship standards.

Related Supplemental Instruction (RSI) Courses

In addition to on-the-job training, each apprentice receives a minimum of 144 hours per year of related supplemental instruction to expand their theoretical and practical knowledge of their occupation. This may training may take place in a classroom, a lab, or on the job site.
