Josh Jones

Business Development

Josh Jones builds strategic relationships for the Machinists Institute, operating in the Portland metropolitan area of Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon. He focuses on business outreach and expanding K-12 and work readiness initiatives, helping to create new pipelines that connect employers and community members to the Institute’s programs.

Before joining the Machinists Institute, Josh dedicated over 8 years to the nonprofit sector in various leadership roles. His experience is marked by a unique blend of program development, managing operations, and outreach, and has a proven track record of building public-private partnerships that foster economic mobility.

A graduate of Leadership Clark County, Josh is deeply committed to community service. He serves on the Washougal School District’s Career & Technical Education General Advisory Committee and holds board positions with Leadership Clark County, the Lower Columbia Fish Enhancement Group, and as recently elected Vice President of Columbia River Mental Health. In recognition of his public leadership, Josh was honored with the Historic Trust’s 2023 General George C. Marshall Leadership Award, and now Chairs the award's Selection Committee.

When not at work, Josh is usually outdoors exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife and son.
