Amber Roulst

President of IAM751 Local C
Board of Directors, Machinists Institute

Amber Roulst is a generational who has worked at Boeing for 15 years. She started out as a grade 4 Wing Skin Prep Mechanic while taking ERT courses. These ERT courses lead her to taking a new role as a Super Plastic Forming Technician and since then she has advanced to a 1st shift Developmental Test Mechanic at Plant 2 in the 2-10 building where she currently calls home.

Amber is a union steward who loves supporting her members. While working her way up through various leadership roles in the union, her most recent and biggest accomplishment has been becoming the first ever female President of Local C.

“ Becoming President of my local has been an honor and gives me the opportunity to speak on behalf and directly support my members. Being on the Machinist institute Board grants me the opportunity to utilize my leadership skills to help promote worker development. I honestly wish I had taken the opportunity of going through an apprenticeship program myself. It is an advantage that is desperately needed instead of the alternative of going into lifelong debt at a four-year university. Apprenticeship programs can help make our community stronger, more competitive, and more in tune with what our workforce needs.”

In her spare time, Amber loves to exercise, put puzzles together, and spend time with her family! She has a huge passion for learning and is always up for trying something new.
